6 days, 26 locations and 1,276 miles later... Episode 1 completed

As the UK Production Manager on the documentary ‘Voices of Liberation’ Get Carter Media Services had a very short lead time to approach and secure all locations and apply for filming & drone permits. CGMS certainly came across more red tape than would have been faced when it came to organising Operation Overlord! The shoot was for Czar Film & TV from Brussels and was part of an 11 part series for Netflix called the ‘Voices of Liberation’. The documentary was presenter led and the UK Episode, which covered the build up to D-Day, was fronted by Thomas Brodie-Sangster who has personal connections to this period of history.

A real challenge to get everything sorted in such a tight time frame but a fascinating production and a rewarding experience.

GCMS was able to bring a number of contacts from previous productions to bear not least in securing locations at the last minute. These included the White Cliffs of Dover managed by the National Trust, Tyneham Village in Dorset and HMS Belfast.
